About Us
Bethel Valparaiso's Vision is REVIVAL: the personal, regional, and global expansion of God's kingdom through His manifest presence
- Fathers Heart...having our identity and purpose as greatly loved sons/daughters,
and friends of God; living out our lives in loving relationship in a
culture of honor and freedom, raising up revivalists.
- Extravagant Worship and Prayer...flowing from a heart of joy, gratitude and desire; ushering in the intimate presence of God in the Father's House.
- Supernatural Ministry...advancing the Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit with signs and wonders where, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and he will reign forever and ever." (Rev. 11:15b)
- Gospel without Boundaries...taking the Glorious Good News near and far to the cities and nation's of the world...winning the lost and bringing them home to the Father's house.
- To create a culture of honor through relationship in which people experience the Father heart of God and discover their true identity in Him
- To create opportunities for passionate worship, fervent prayer and fasting where people can enter into life transforming intimacy with God.
- To equip revivalists to walk in the supernatural ministry of Jesus; advancing the Kingdom of God on Earth as it is in Heaven.
- To inspire the Body of Christ to share and demonstrate the Glorious Good News to everyone...everywhere...all the time for the everlasting praise of His wonderful name.
- We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three persons, who are equal in power and glory: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
- We believe that the scriptures of the old and new testament are the Word of God, fully inspired, without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
- We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
- We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teaching.
- We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and His personal visible return to earth.
- We believe that in His first coming, Jesus inaugurated the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical Gifts of the Spirit. We believe that prior to salvation, we were sinners by nature and choice and were, therfore, under condemnation. We believe that God regnerates and baptizes those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and gives them a new nature.
- We believe in the Universal church, the living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head, and all regenerated persons are members and saints.
- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: baptism and the Lord's supper.
- We believe in water baptism and communion open to all believers.
- We believe in the laying on of hands for the empowering of the Holy Spirit; for the ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons; for receiving gifts of the Spirit; and for healing.
- We believe in the personal, visible appearing of Christ and the consummation of His Kingdom.
- We believe in the resurrection of the Body, the final judgment, and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.
- We believe in what is termed "The Apostles Creed" as embodying fundamentals of the Christian faith, and endorsing the historic orthodox creeds of the church.
